Plans and announcements are still developing for Bruegala 2016. We’re constantly spreading the word through social media, Farmers’ Markets and any place we see people who would love our little beer and wine festival. Further details are on the way, but feel free to marvel at the new Bruegala logo in the meantime.

1st Trimester Awards
|
|
As mentioned in last month’s newsletter, the B-N Jaycees were honored to receive several awards from the 1st Trimester General Assembly. Bruegala received a prestigious project award, while several members collected an award for their individual efforts in improving the chapter and chairing unique events.
Congratulations to all members who earned honors, and the B-N Jaycees thank everyone involved with the chapter for the work they contribute to help accomplish goals.

Farmer's Market Games The Bruegala chair members set up a booth at the Farmers’ Market in Downtown Bloomington to spread the word about Bruegala 2016. To help make the hot morning fun, market patrons were invited to play a game at the booth and win Bruegala shot glasses.

Horse Riding This month’s ID event took place at Anderson Horse Farm, located in Heyworth. The group was treated with an in-depth lesson on caring for horses (which does not seem easy) and then worked on those cowboy skills in the pen.

Sandbox Days This year’s Sandbox Days completed in record time, which included a celebration brunch at Destihl just before it began to rain. Sand was delivered to four daycares with near-empty sandboxes. Hopefully the refreshment of sand will give the kids another way to play and get dirty this summer. The money raised will go back into the chapter’s funds to help operate other community projects.

Brews, Blues, and BBQ Champaign holds an annual beer, music, and food festival in their downtown. A group of the B-N Jaycees volunteered to help out this past weekend. While pouring beer at a blues festival is a lot to ask of anyone, the group fought through the summer afternoon heat to make sure patrons got their refreshments.
